Ovarian Neoplasm

Benign Ovarian Neoplasm:

Serous Cystadenoma:
a) most common ovarian neoplasm b) For example purpose remember they are uniloculated.

Mucinous Cystadenoma: It has "MUCOUS" in it. for example purpose remember they are multiloculated

Endometrioma: When endometrium goes out of for walk and is found in other organs and than grow a cancer too. 

Mature Cystic teratoma: Its a saddar market where everything is available. Elements of all germ layers. Temeber the term struma ovarii. DUHS loves it
*Remember in boys mature teratoma is malignant unlike girls where it is benign.
Brenner tumor: Bladder like epithelium. urine yellow in color, tumor yellow color
Fibroma: spindle shaped fibroblast (FIBROma-FIBROblast). Imp point Meigs syndrome: When there is pani pani haar jaga with ovarian mass (ascities+hydrothorax+fibroma)

Thecoma: Excess estrogen. They won't tell you there is excess estrogen. They will tell you an ovarian mass and endometrial hyperplasia. Thoda dimagh ka istimah and you have to guess that estrogen hyperplasia is due to excess estrogen

Malignant Ovarian Neoplasm:

Immature teratoma: Same Saddar market, only this time with immature elements, so there will be lots of words ending in blast

Granulosa cell: Again excess estrogen, how to differentiate it from thecoma. Granulosa cell has Call-Exner bodies

Serous Cystadenocarcinoma: most common malignant tumor.

Mucinous Cystadencarcinoma: Pseudomyxoma peritonei

Dysgerminona: fried egg appearance. hcg & LDH are tumor marker

Choriocarcinoma: Inc HCG. HEMATOGENOUS SPREAD*

Yolk Sac tumor: If they say mass in sacrococcygeal area-do 30 sec dance cause its yolk sac tumor. Its also yellow like benner tumor. but Inc AFP differentiates it. Schiller-Duval bodies
